The most impressive career could hide the darkest of stories. Winner of both the USA and World champions in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her present standing through many years of hard work and an immense amount of patience. Jones experienced a tough childhood due to her being raised by a single mom within a large household. The mother of Jones moved around constantly and lived for a time in the basement of her church. Jones' nomadic lifestyle made her change schools each year, until she reached she reached high school. Jones who was interested in track and field events in Theodore Roosevelt High School, lived far from her mother to explore her interest. Jones lived in four different homes during her high school time to pursue her education in a single location. Jones was a cellist with the school's orchestra as well as the winner of the Gatorade the track and field award for athlete of the Year won her an award called the Gatorade Iowa Athlete Award at the end of her high school career. Jones at the time she was going to college, was regarded as a top hurdler. She was the winner of the 100-meter hurdle at the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. She also participated in the team finishing second for 100-meters relay. Jones has won indoor hurdles at the NCAA Championships both in 2003 and 2004. Jones is training since 2005, when she completed her studies. Jones was the winner of Torino Memorial in 2005, in addition to Ostrava and Heusden track events in the next year.

Brandt is a child of the Cape Town region. She grew up in Cape Town South Africa with her parents and siblings, immigrated to Auckland New Zealand when she was in her teens. Discovered by local casting directors Brandt took on the role as Naevia in the Starz hits Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. She was among the breakout stars for the show, working alongside Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi. She was on the show's hit Netflix show Lucifer that ran for a six years run as the fan beloved comic book character from DC/Vertigo Mazikeen. Lucifer was a smash hit and broke the record of binge viewing and was named as the best shows that were binge watched in 2021 by Forbes. Brandt's next appearance is in an episode of six in the Walking Dead spin-off in 2024 alongside Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. Brandt is also set to star alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated show Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley-Ann Brandt is a South African actress, born in Cape Town, South Africa on the 2nd of December, 1981. She is an accomplished New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt along with the other members of her family moved to Auckland New Zealand, in 1999. In Auckland she started her career in retail and later was promoted to IT management consultant. After a few modelling projects, Lesley appeared in many commercials. In 2008, she completed her acting studies. After that, in 2009, she continued training by using the Meisner method of study. Her first major acting role was on the TV drama Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt was a guest acting support on the New Zealand television show Shortland Street. Later she appeared in a sci-fi drama arrangement This Is Not My Life based on the anecdotal city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast as Naevia the young hostage and featured later in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniature-series of the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
